The region of Gallura offers vast forests dominated by various species of oaks mainly cork oaks and holm oaks and wild olive trees. The Mediterranean maquis covers large areas of the region with its typical shrubs such as myrtle, juniper, rosemary, mastic tree (pistacia lentiscus), strawberry tree, cistus, ether, euphorbia.
The fauna is as varied and interesting. Very important is the absence of venomous snakes.
